The AGN presents intellectually stimulating exhibitions that spark conversations, inspire creativity and enlighten the minds of all-ages. Featuring a year-round program of exhibitions, the AGN is committed to nurturing and promoting Canadian artists, and we strive to exhibit works that advance critical enquiry and community connection to contemporary visual arts. 

Current Exhibitions

A Collection Built on Relationships: Inuit Art from the Art Gallery of Northumberland’s Permanent Collection on tour at the Kawartha Lakes Museum & Archives.
This exhibition highlights the avenues of abstraction unique to each artist, while finding commonalities and celebrating the differences. Curated by, Mary Reid, Director/Curator, Woodstock Art Gallery. 
Stephen Gillberry’s artwork exemplifies a delicate, refined engagement with atmospheric effects and a nuanced approach to colour.
The objects in the Marsh Collection are a window into a crucial point in Inuit history and art history.
Tempus Fugit, ‘fleeting time’, by Mexican Canadian textile and tapestry artist Ixchel Suarez is about the life of trees.

Martina Munroe, a fiber artist, has captivated us with her innovative use of rug hooking to create intricate mycelium-themed artworks.
