Art Gallery of Northumberland’s Signature Event Spotlight Series Returns
Annual arts education fundraiser returns to in-person LIVE event with tickets on sale now.
COBOURG, ON (Friday, May 27, 2022) – The Art Gallery of Northumberland (AGN) is pleased to announce the return of its signature annual arts education fundraiser event Spotlight Series on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 7 p.m., designed to ‘shine the spotlight’ on local artists across Northumberland County.
Spotlight Series 4 returns to an in-person live ticketed event that will bring together music, multimedia, and the visual arts to a live audience. This series featured artists include local Port Hope musician and award-winning author of over 40 books Ted Staunton and David Shewchuk, current concertmaster of The Quinte Symphony and touring violinist, fiddler, and composer.
“A return to an in-person Spotlight Series has everyone here at the Art Gallery of Northumberland incredibly excited,” said Olinda Casimiro, Executive Director of the Art Gallery of Northumberland. “We encourage our community to come out and engage in meaningful conversations about shared human experiences expressed through art and the process of art making.”
Spotlight Series 4 will host both entertainers with an intermission and live interactive audience question and answer period at the end. All funds raised from the event will go towards specialized arts education programming targeting child, adults, and seniors.
How to Purchase Tickets
Tickets for Spotlight Series 4 will be sold on Eventbrite for $25 including HST. Light catering and refreshments will be included. All health and safety precautions will be implemented and those who do not feel well are encouraged to stay home.
